FenCon VIII, Dallas, Texas
Sept. 23-24, 2011

As always, the event was produced by the Dallas Future Society
and held at the swanky Crowne Plaza Hotel in North Dallas.

Friday, I moderated Superhero Summer, the first panel of the show, where we
had some very lively and passionate discussions on what we felt were the best
and worst superhero films ever made. My fellow panelists were
Caroline Spector, Stephen Patrick and author/DC Comics guru Guy Lillian.

That afternoon I joined Vickey Malone Kennedy, Katherine Turski and
Michelle Muenzler (with the tub of delicious cookies she shared) to discuss "micro-fiction"
and the challenges of creating compelling stories with very few words.

Saturday, I represented Cliffhanger Books at the Small Press Roundtable. My fellow
panelists were Elizabeth Burton of Zumaya Publications, Dusty Rainbolt of Yard Dog Press,
Amanda Green of Naked Reader Press and Margaret Bonham of Sky Warrior Book
Publishing (not shown). Photo courtesy of Larry Atchley.

Saturday afternoon, I enjoyed signing books and talking
with authors Ethan Nahté and Chris Donahue.
